How To Draw a Dog Step By Step in Pencil in 5 Steps?

Start by putting down a few simple shapes. When drawing animals, it is always easier to start with basic shapes like triangles, circles, and squares. In this case, the dog’s body is a rectangle, and the nose is an oval.
Step 1:
Draw two circles as guides for the first part of the dog’s body. It is not necessary to have perfect circles. Just use them as a guide.

Step 2:
Draw a rectangle-like shape on the right side to guide the dog’s head. Please pay attention to how tall it is compared to the body. The height should be similar or shorter.

Step 3:
Draw a small oval-like shape overlapping the top part of the head as a guide for the muzzle. To represent glare, draw two small circles for each eye and shade them in except a tiny ring around each.

Step 4 :
Draw a curved line above each eye and a few lines under each eye for wrinkles. Draw another curved line on top of the nose for the bridge of the nose and draw two lines under it to give it more detail

Step 5 :
Add some facial details inside each ear using quick, short strokes, as shown above. Don’t overlap the head guide when you draw these lines. Make sure they line up with where you drew the eyes too!
Extend two slightly curved lines from behind each eye to create the cheeks and cheek fur. Add some quick, short strokes at the bottom of each cheek for more fur detail Use quick, short strokes along the bottom edge of your drawing to thicken up that neck area.
